The Renault Sherpa is a medium tactical military truck, designed to be highly mobile on difficult terrain.
It has a payload of 2 to 4 tons, with some 400kg on the roof.
Armor is per STANAG standard, and vehicle is designed to protect against both projectiles and IEDs.
Models range from two seat flat-bed trucks, to 4/5 crew up to 10 seat models.
Engine and drivetrain are heavy duty to provide redundancy. The engine compartment is also fully armored to provide mobility even in the most dangerous situations.

The Sherpa is in use by both French and other NATO forces, and has a proven record in theaters of operation.
Several vehicles are in use in Afghanistan.

Sherpa 3 is also available in a Special Forces configuration.
